Paytm, Unicommerce both have claimed a win in court, and SKS has raised more money this quarter than in same period last year.
<h3>Paytm claims court victory; Snapdeal-owned Unicommerce disagrees</h3>
Digital wallet <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Paytm" target="_blank">Paytm</a> had accused Unicommerce, a unit of e-commerce major <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Snapdeal" target="_blank">Snapdeal</a>, of data theft and copyright infringement in a court case. A judge has issued orders on that, and both sides are claiming victory.
Paytm said that the court has instructed Unicommerce, a provider of technology that brings online marketplaces and merchants together, to not access data from Paytm for its own use.  But Unicommerce&#8217;s counsel said that no such order was passed, and that Unicommerce is authorized by sellers to access their data, according to a <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/industry/services/retail/unicommerce-paytm-both-claim-victory-in-data-copyright-case/articleshow/51950923.cms" target="_blank">report</a> in the Economic Times.
The judge has given a time of two weeks for Unicommerce to respond to Paytm&#8217;s complaint.
<h3>SKS raises money by selling receivables to investors</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=SKS+Microfinance" target="_blank">SKS Microfinance</a>, which lends to the poor who find it difficult to get loans from traditional banks, has raised Rs 2,800 crore by selling receivables to investors in the fourth quarter, a rise of 80 per cent from the same period last year.
This process of fundraising, called securitization, involves aggregating loan receivables and selling their cash flows to investors as securities.
SKS has more capital after this process, which it can use for fresh lending. Last year, it had raised Rs 1559 crore through this route.
