More than three months after the government allowed 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in e-commerce under the so-called “marketplace model” with two major riders, a purported ban on discounts and capping a single seller’s contribution to one fourth of revenues, online retailers have started firming up new corporate structures that they hope will help them comply with the new laws.
