Online grocer Raincan has raised $150,000 angel investment, while video social network Indi.com has raised funds from actor Anil Kapoor.
<h3>Online grocery services startup Raincan raises $150K angel investment</h3>
Subscription-based online line grocer <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.raincan.com">Raincan</a> has raised $150,000 led by angel investor Aniruddha Malpani. In August, last year the startup had raised $100,000 from another angel investor Ajeet Khurana
Raincan is a subscription based prepaid solution that provides daily essentials, especially perishables, to customers. At present, the company claims to fulfil about 2,000 orders a day from delivery centers in Pune.
Raincan differentiates itself from other players in this space by owning the logistics and operations.
<h3>Anil Kapoor invests in video social network Indi.com</h3>
Actor Anil Kapoor has invested an undisclosed amount in video social network <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://indi.com/">Indi.com</a>, which set to launch in India on April 28, according to<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/anil-kapoor-backs-video-social-network-indi-com/articleshow/51786364.cms"> a report </a>in The Economic Times. Indi.com allows individuals and companies to create and monetise content by sharing videos while integrating multiple social networks.
Divyansh Bajpai, former managing partner at Nova Travel, and Shikha Uberoi, former Indian American professional tennis player have also invested in the company.
The platform will be ad-supported, with channel owners getting 70 per cent of the revenue and Indi the remainder. &#8220;Apart from advertising, we may also have premium model for brands and ecommerce in future,&#8221; said Indi.com co founder Neel Grover.
