Bombay Shirt raises $987k from existing investor Patni Group
The custom-made shirt maker Bombay Shirt Company has raised Rs 6.6 crore ($987k) in a bridge round from Patni Group, an existing investor of the company, The Economic Times reported. An undisclosed investor also participated in the round.
The company will use the money for hiring people and to expand to other cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata.
Singapore-based U2opia Mobile launches Catapault in India
U2opia Mobile Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based mobile value-added services (VAS) firm, has launched an accelerator programme Catapault in India.
Through the programme, U2opia plans to invest $3 million in over three years. The Catapault programme will offer startups a chance to go global with U2opia’s mobile network in over 60 countries. It is inviting only early-stage startups and entrepreneurial teams focused on innovation in scalable mobile technology.
