Philippine listed firms <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.sminvestments.com">SM Investments Corp (SM)</a> and <a href="http://www.arthaland.com.ph" target="_blank">Arthaland Corp</a> are seeking to raise $1 billion and $63 million, in a bond offer and shares sale, respectively.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">SMIC targets $1b bond offer before 2016 ends</h3>
Seeking for further business expansion, conglomerate SM Investments Corp (SMIC) is aiming to raise up to $1 billion via a shelf registration program.
The Sy-led firm disclosed it plans to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to issue retail bonds worth P50 billion before 2016 ends. It is subject to the approval of the SEC board of directors.
SMIC executive vice president Jose Sio told local media that the proceeds will be used to capitalize on their subsidiaries and to back up expansion of non-core businesses.
Sio noted the retail bonds issue will most likely have tenors of seven and 10 years.

<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.smprime.com">SM Prime Holdings Inc</a>, the property and shopping mall arm of SM, raised P10 billion last July from issuance of 10-year bonds.
SM is one of the largest publicly listed companies in the Philippines with a sustainable group of businesses that thrives on synergies of its banking, property and retail operations.
SMIC&#8217;s last trading price increased 0.15 per cent or P1.00 to close at P667.50.

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Alco okays $63m company shares sale</h3>
Real estate firm ArthaLand Corp (Alco) intends to sell company shares pegged at $63 million (P3 billion).
Alco earlier disclosed to the local bourse that its board of directors approved the offer, sale and distribution of up to 30 million Series B preferred shares from the unissued authorized capital stock of the firm by way of a follow-on public offering priced at P100.00 per share.
The terms and conditions of the offer are still being finalized.

In a separate announcement, Alco invested over P306 million in an 8.1821 hectare property in Biñan, Laguna province.
Alco&#8217;s wholly owned subsidiary Cazneau Inc, did the property acquisition deal with YCLA Sugar Development Corp and South Industrial Facilities Inc.
The deed of absolute sale is scheduled for signing anytime today.
Alco last traded at P0.285 per share, which was 5.56 per cent higher than yesterday&#8217;s P0.015.
