Silicon Valley veteran Winston Damarillo, who has over 20 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur and venture capital professional, was appointed chief strategy officer (CSO), while Joachim Horn of Germany will assume the post of PLDT chief technology and integration advisor effective July 2015.
Damarillo will be responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives.
Currently, Damarillo is the president and CEO of Talas, the Data Unit of PLDT Group.
A former venture capital professional in Intel, Damarillo also currently serves as the executive chairman of Amihan Global Strategies (AGSX), a strategic consulting firm specialising in Digital Enterprise Transformation for the largest corporations in the ASEAN region.
Horn, however, has over 30 years of global experience in the telecommunications market both from an infrastructure vendor and telecom operator perspective, leading a diverse range of functions including product design and management, sales, R&amp;D, procurement and manufacturing &amp; logistics, having worked in Tele2, Siemens, T-Mobile, and Bharti Airtel.
Horn was the executive vice president and group chief technology and information officer (CTIO) at Tele2 AB, based in Sweden.

Horn has been the chairman of the Board of SUNAB, a 3G network sharing joint venture between Tele2 and TeliaSonera in Sweden as well as chairman of Procure It Right, a boutique consulting firm specialising in procurement projects from strategy to implementation.
