Russia-Japan to set up $1b fund, to invest in pharma, energy

Russia and Japan will create a $1 billion fund for equity investments in bilateral projects targeting sectors such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, infrastructure and energy over the next five years, with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) each investing $500 million into the fund.
