Fintech startups in the SEA have landed VC investments of $300m since 2007 and half of that came in last year alone, indicating the sector’s growing traction. SEA – which has a large unbanked population, high penetration of smartphones and mobile internet – sports a conducive environment for fintech to flourish.
Singapore-based fintech VC firms Life.SREDA and AT Capital have led a Series B round in Lenddo, a provider of data for credit scoring and online verification.
