Asia Dealbook: Sony buys Altair for $200m; Adways invests in Daylight Studios; mPrest raises $20m

Sony is consolidating and strengthening its position with the acquisition of Altair Semiconductor, while Tokyo-based Adways has made an undisclosed investment in game studio Daylight Studios and defence contractor mPrest has secured a $20 million Series A investment.

Independent game developer Daylight Studios, a studio based in Singapore, has successfully raised $704,000 in a series A funding round led by Raffles Venture Partners and various angel investors.
