Vietnam: ASEAN-US innovation centre proposed; $33.3m tech hub granted license

The tech space in Vietnam has welcomed multiple good news besides recent fundraising rounds of startups. On the sideline of the ASEAN-US Summit, the country’s prime minister proposed to set up a Vietnam-based ASEAN-US supportive centre for innovation and tech startups. Meanwhile, a new local centre, also for tech R&D, has receive investment license and is expected to come into operation in 2017.
