Brookfield had in December agreed to pay RCom upfront cash of Rs11,000 crore for a 51% stake in Reliance Infratel Ltd.
RCom says will be able to pare debt by more than half much before December 2018.
The development will further impede its efforts to pare its huge debt.
Vodafone and Bharti Infratel own 42% each while Idea owns 11.15%. US private equity firm Providence owns the balance 4.85%.
The sale of the combined assets, pegged at over $1.5 billion in enterprise value, is being negotiated with potential buyers.
Airtel’s will use the firm’s expertise in improving network experience, machine learning, big data and provide better customer experience.

Menlo Capital is the majority shareholder of MRC Allied, a PH listed company.
