HTC Global’s head of marketing, South Asia, Sirpa Ikola has left the Taiwanese smart device manufacturer; leaving a slot which, HTC says, it is looking to fill soon.
Ikola joined HTC in March 2013, with a mandate to plan and execute HTC’s marketing strategy and brand presence in South Asia. Her duties included media planning for the marketing mix, retail and channel marketing programs, PR strategy etc.
Working from Singapore, she was in charge of Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore and other emerging markets.
When Ikola joined HTC, she had over 15 years of integrated marketing and business development experience in the mobile technology industry. She was previously with Nokia, as the head of smart devices business in South East Asia.
Her skills included portfolio planning, game planning, go-to-market programs, channel sales, device and solution readiness, strategic product marketing, B2C and B2B campaign creation and launch.
