The latest in the deals landscape in India has seen Robovac raising $450,000 angel funding of $450,000 and merging with rival Enzo Solutions, while Naya Ventures has invested $1 million in health-tech startup DocSynk.
<h3>Car washing startup Robovac raises $450k, merges with Enzo</h3>
Ahmedabad-based waterless car washing firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.robovac.in/" target="_blank">Robovac </a>has raised $450,000 angel funding of Rs 3 crore ($450,000). It has also merged with rival <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://enzo-solutions.com/" target="_blank">Enzo Solutions</a> and formed a new entity called RobovacEnzo, according to <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/money/robovac-gets-funding-and-a-new-identity/articleshow/54805147.cms" target="_blank">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
As per the report, the new entity will utilise the funds to expand its presence in the country through partnerships with public sector undertakings to offer franchises and licences on a pan-India basis. The company also plans to distribute at-home subscription services and service centres in new construction projects.
While Robovac is a car interior vacuum cleaning service provider, Enzo Solutions offers waterless at-home car-wash services. Both offer services in various cities. The merged entity will be run by Robovac founder Mohit Shah and Enzo Solutions founder Rahul Gonsalves, and representatives of angel investors will join the management as directors.
<h3>Naya Ventures backs health-tech startup DocSynk with $1m</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.nayaventures.com/" target="_blank">Naya Ventures</a>, an early-stage venture capital firm focused mainly on the US and India-based companies, has invested $1 million in Dallas-based health-tech startup DocSynk, the company said on Tuesday.
DocSynk is led by medical technology innovator Vaidyanatha Siva, the former director, and executive of Parkland Hospital&#8217;s Center for Clinical Innovation and CTO of Infosys Ltd&#8217;s Life Sciences business unit. The company&#8217;s new machine-learning platform uses data science to put people in control of their healthcare, driving productivity and reducing costs for employers, insurers, and doctors.
&#8220;DocSynk&#8217;s mission of bringing transformation in patient engagement is sorely needed in US healthcare. Organizations of every size are looking for DocSynk&#8217;s innovative solutions,&#8221; said Dayakar Puskoor, the managing director of Naya Ventures.
Hyderabad-based Naya Ventures&#8217; other portfolio companies include Global Outlook, SinglePoint, KeepTrax, Zoomingo, Boxfish, autoGraph and others, as per its website.
