New Zealand Super Fund (NZSF) has excluded companies involved in the recreational cannabis industry from its $37-billion fund, an announcement revealed today. The exclusion does not include companies working with licensed and authorized medicinal cannabis.

Recreational cannabis joins several other activities that are banned from the fund, namely the manufacture of cluster munition, the manufacture or testing of nuclear explosive devices (NEDs), the manufacture of anti-personnel mines, the manufacture of tobacco, and the processing of whale meat.
