Wellness startup Gomalon has raised $100,000 in fresh seed funding, while TVS Capital has sold a part of its stake in Wonderla Holidays.
<h3>Gomalon raises $100K seed round</h3>
Wellness services startup <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.gomalon.com/gospa/" target="_blank">Gomalon Technology Ventures Pvt. Ltd</a> has raised another $100,000 as part of its seed round from a company that makes essential oils, natural food colours and spice extracts, according to a VCCircle <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://techcircle.vccircle.com/2016/06/27/exclusive-wellness-startup-gomalon-raises-second-round-of-seed-funding/" target="_blank">report</a>.
The Bengaluru-based startup plans to use these funds to develop its technology back-end, acquire talent, and expand its marketing initiatives, according to Anil Kumar, co-founder, Gomalon. Kumar did not disclose the name of the company.
Gomalon also plans to raise its pre-Series A round of funding in the next five months.
<h3>TVS Capital offloads part of its stake in Wonderla</h3>
Domestic private equity firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/tvs-capital">TVS Capital</a> has sold 0.8 per cent of its stake in <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.wonderla.com/">Wonderla Holidays Ltd</a> through a secondary market transaction for Rs 17.5 crore.
According to stock market data, a major chunk of the stake was bought by Catamaran Capital.
TVS Capital and Aditya Birla Private Equity had come as anchor investors during Wonderla&#8217;s initial public offer in April 2014. It was reported that TVS Capital had picked up 2.3 per cent stake in the company at the time for Rs 18 crore.
