PC Jeweller&#8217;s board has approved Fidelity funding, while Shriram Land and IStyleYou have raised more funds.
<h3>PC Jewellery raising Fidelity funding</h3>
Delhi-based jewellery retailer <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/36707-36707/" target="_blank">PC Jeweller Ltd</a> is raising $38 million from US-based Fidelity.
It will use the funds to set up a chain of smaller and franchised stores in India. The company said that its board has approved the deal, which will involve allotment of compulsorily convertible preference shares to entities controlled by Fidelity.
This is PC Jeweller&#8217;s second fundraise this year. It had earlier raised $64 million from DVI Fund, which is an existing investor.
About 10 smaller stores will be set up by the company, and they will have an average area of between 1,500–2,000 sq ft, less than half of its large-format stores.
<h3>Shriram Land Development raises fresh funding</h3>
Bangalore based real estate developer Shriram Land Development India Pvt Ltd has raised $3.7 million from Bennett  Property  Holdings Company  Ltd., a unit of media conglomerate Times Group.
The investment does not involve an ad-for-equity deal, said a <a href="http://www.vccircle.com/news/retail/2016/07/27/pc-jeweller-raising-38mn-fidelity" target="_blank">report</a> in VCCircle. This is the first investment by the company.
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/india-bccls-springboard-ventures-picks-up-stake-in-vivo-healthcare-13159/" target="_blank">Bennett, Coleman &amp; Company Ltd</a> (BCCL), which publishes Times of India and the Economic Times, also operates Brand Capital, which buys equity stakes in firms in return for advertisements in the group&#8217;s newspapers and television channels.
<h3>Actor Rannvijay Singh invests in IStyleYou</h3>
Bollywood and TV celebrity Rannvijay Singh has invested an undisclosed amount in <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://istyleyou.in/" target="_blank">IStyleYou</a>, a mobile personalized styling app.
The actor will also endorse the Gurgaon-based company. The funds will be used for marketing and product expansion. In February, IStyleYou had raised seed funding of $100,000 from Green House Ventures (<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.ghvaccelerator.com/" target="_blank">GHV</a>).
The firm was founded in 2015 by Pallav Modi, Amit Kejriwal, and Vinayak Khanijo, and allows users to interact with fashion stylists through the app.
