Sterlite Power has acquired minority stake in US-base drone company Shaper Shape, while startup raises $200k through crowdfunding platform 1Crowd.
<h3>Sterlite Power acquires stake in US-based drone company Sharper Shape</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/sterlite-power">Sterlite Power Transmission</a> has acquired a minority stake in US-based drone service company <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://sharpershape.com/" target="_blank">Sharper Shape</a> for an undisclosed amount
The acquisition will help Sterlite Power to bring Sharper Shape&#8217;s automated inspection and maintenance planning services for infrastructure asset owners to India.
This further cements the relationship between the two companies after the two signed a partnership agreement in February during the Make in India week to deliver drone technologies for the power transmission industry, Sharper Shape said in a statement.
After acquiring approvals from India&#8217;s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sharper Shape, which has a presence in the US and Finland, will soon launch operations in India with the help of Sterlite Power.
<h3>Zipgrid raises $200k through crowdfunding</h3>
Community services platform  <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://zipgrid.co/communities/" target="_blank">Zipgrid</a>, has raised $200,000 in equity financing through crowdfunding platform <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.1crowd.co/" target="_blank">1Crowd</a>.
Founded in August 2013, Zipgrid provides technology-driven services to housing and commercial communities.
Based in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the startup plans to use the funding to expand its footprint, team and invest in strengthening their technology and operations, the company said in a statement.
It currently claims to provide its services to over 70 housing communities. Their range of services includes accounting &amp; finance, compliance &amp; control management solutions.
“We are preparing ourselves to take on the immense untapped opportunity of collective consumption at the gates of communities by creating value for all stakeholders involved. Partnering with 1Crowd has brought us a few steps closer to our mission,” Kunal Gupta, co-founder, Zipgrid said.
