<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=DCM+Ventures">DCM Ventures</a> has led a $11-million series B round in Beijing-based<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=+Sensors+Data"> Sensors Data</a>, a big data analytics company. <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Sequoia+Capital+China">Sequoia Capital China</a> also joined this round, according to a report in China Money Network.
Sensors currently provides big data analysis services for more than 300 companies including bike-sharing company ofo and video sharing and live streaming app Miaopai.
It plans to spend the latest proceeds on research and development. It will also expand its customer base into new sectors including financial banks, new retail and Internet of Things.
It raised an undisclosed angel round from Linear Venture, FutureCap and Chinese investor Charles Bi-chuen Xue when it was established in 2015. Later on, it secured a $4 million series A round from Sequoia Capital China and existing investors in April 2016.
Chinese big data companies Hejin Online and Shumei Technology also closed the funding rounds this month. Meanwhile, China Unicom announced in February that it would boost partnership with Sichuan Troy Information Technology to invest in big data and smart city business.
