<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.aavishkaar.in/">Aavishkaar Venture Management Services</a> plans to raise a new fund this year, its sixth so far, with a total target corpus of Rs 2,000 crore ($300 million), according to <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/aavishkaar-venture-management-plans-to-raise-rs-2000-crore-fund/articleshow/51818253.cms">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
&#8220;Before the end of this year we will announce the first close of this fund with around $225 million of international money and Rs 500 crore ($75 million) raised in India,&#8221; said Vineet Rai, CEO of Aavishkaar.
The latest fund by the company, which is an impact investment focused venture capital firm, will increase its total assets under management to Rs 3,500 crore ($525 million), the report said.
In June last year, Aavishkaar had announced the first close of its South and Southeast Asia focused Aavishkaar Frontier Fund at $ 45 million, while targetting a final close at $75 million.
The fund is focused on making investments across Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan, with a ticket size of $1-5 million.
