<h3>Online bike service platform gear6.in raises $500k seed funding</h3>
Online bike service and repairs platform, <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.gear6.in/" target="_blank">gear6.in</a>, has raised $500,000 seed funding from early-stage seed investment firm Ninestarter.
The Bengaluru-based startup, which started operations three months back, plans to use the funds for marketing, expanding customer base and bringing on board more service centers to increase reach in the city.
gear6 hopes to integrate the bike maintenance sector online with servicing, repairs, insurance and emergency services. The company claims to have tie-ups with over 100 authorized service centers with real-time tracking to ensure customers have the comfort of knowing the status of their bike, at any given time.
<h3>Bengaluru-based Highway Delite raises pre-seed funding</h3>
Bengaluru-based startup <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://highwaydelite.com/" target="_blank">Highway Delite</a>, has raised pre-seed funding of an undisclosed amount from N.S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, the incubation unit of IIM Bangalore, according to <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://inc42.com/flash-feed/highway-delite-raises-funding/">a report</a> by Inc42.
Founded in 2015 by Rajesh Kumar, Highway Delite provides verified and reviewed database of restaurants and other necessary services such as medical facilities, petrol stations, repair shops, toilets, lodge/hotels, among others, through a mobile app.
“They (Highway Delite) are addressing an opportunity in the travel discovery and delivery space,” said G Sabarinathan, faculty member at IIMB. “Travelling the highways to gather information and rating critical services available there requires lot of hard work,&#8221; he added.
