The latest in the deals space in India has seen three companies including home utility startup Bonita, thermal-energy storage startup TESSOL and online marketplace Indofash have raised funding.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Home utility startup Bonita gets funding from group of investors</h3>
Bonita India, a home utility startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of individual investors, the company said in a press release.
“The money raised in this round will be spent on brand-building exercises including BTL &amp; ATL activities, investment in new product development, launches, creating product awareness and drive consumption at a pan-India level and further growing the distribution network,” said Umang Srivastava, joint managing director, Bonita.
Run by Casa Brands India Pvt Ltd, Bonita&#8217;s home utility products are currently available in over 20 countries including the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands Switzerland, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand &amp; UAE with overseas warehouses in US, Europe, and UAE.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">TESSOL receives funding from Infuse Ventures &amp; Ankur Capital</h3>
Thermal-energy storage startup TESSOL has received a Series A round of funding from cleantech fund <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Infuse+Ventures" target="_blank">Infuse Ventures</a> and impact investor <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Ankur+Capital" target="_blank">Ankur Capital</a>, according to a statement.
TESSOL will utilise the funds for expanding its sales and service network across India and create more products.
In 2014, the startup raised seed funding from Infuse Ventures. TESSOL provides energy efficient and fuel saving refrigeration technologies for cold chain storage and logistics. The company was founded in 2013 by IIT Delhi alumnus Rajat Gupta. It is operated by Thermal Energy Service Solutions Pvt Ltd.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Ethnic marketplace Indofash gets angel funding</h3>
Indofash, an ethnic marketplace, has raised Rs 1 crore ($145k) in angel funding from Shekhar Sahu and Nitesh Pant, co-founders of telemedicine company HealthcareMagic.
Indofash will use the money to scale up its international presence. Founded by Pallavi Mohadikar and Rahul Gayakwad, Indofash brings together arts and craft from across India on its platforms to make it accessible to global audience.
“This angel round is a great enabler for us to scale Indofash in the next six months to an international audience” said Gayakward.
