In a two recent M&amp;A deals, Tata Group company Rallis India Ltd will increase stake in Zero Waste Agro Organics Ltd while Manjushree has bought Varahi Polymers.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Rallis to hike stake in Zere Waste Agro-Organics to 100%</h3>
Agro-chemical firm Rallis India, a <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Tata+Group" target="_blank">Tata Group</a> company, has signed an agreement to increase holding in subsidiary Zero Waste Agro-Organics Ltd to 100 per cent, as per a stock market disclosure.
Rallis will buy 26.37 per cent stake in the company for around Rs 20 crore ($2.9 million). Rallis, a subsidiary of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=tata+chemicals" target="_blank">Tata Chemicals</a>, is one of India’s leading crop care companies. According to its site, around 5 million farmers benefit from the agriculture solutions provided by the company.
Rallis scrip was trading at Rs 195.60 each, up 3.66 per cent on BSE in a weak Mumbai market on Thursday at 11.53 AM.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Manjushree Technopack buys Delhi-based Varahi Polymers</h3>
Packaging firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=manjushree+technopack" target="_blank">Manjushree Technopack</a> has acquired Delhi-based Varahi Polymers, a company that offers rigid packaging solutions for FMCG, beverages and pharmaceuticals companies.
With this, Manjushree now has seven manufacturing locations units across India with a total production capacity of 4 billion units per annum, the company said in a press note today.
The deal includes buyout of Varahi&#8217;s all manufacturing assets of the packaging division, and R&amp;D &amp; patents.
Varahi was founded in 1971 by late HR Sanghavi. The company offers rigid packaging solutions for FMCG, beverages and pharmaceuticals companies. Its manufacturing units are located in Noida, Baddi and Pantnagar with a combined production capacity of 20,000 MT.
Varahi&#8217;s customer portfolio includes companies like Reckitt Benckiser, Dabur, Patanjali and Perfetti Van Melle.
