<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Zippserv raises $390k in seed funding</h3>
Zippserv, a real estate risk assessment firm, has raised Rs 2.5 crore ($389,700) funding from undisclosed sources, the company said in a statement.
The Bangalore-headquartered firm will use the proceeds for its expansion plans. Initially, it will extend operations to Mumbai and Pune.
“In line with recent government initiatives such as the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) announcement, our vision is to bring in more transparency into the real estate sector. In fact, our business model has been designed in such a way so as to champion the needs and concerns of home buyers, without any influence from developers or their patrons,&#8221; said Debashish Hota, co-founder, Zippserv.
Started in December 2015 by Sudeep Anandapuram and Debashish Hota, Zippserv provides advisory services for legal and civil engineering due diligence, fraud and forgery detection, and tools to ascertain encroachments and city planning violations. The company claims to conduct over 400 property due-diligence related projects monthly, having saved over Rs 300 crore for customers so far.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Parkway ups holding in Hyderabad hospital by 1.3%</h3>
Malaysian healthcare firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=IHH+Healthcare" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">IHH Healthcare</a>&#8216;s unit Parkway Pantai has increased its holding in Hyderabad-based <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Continental+Hospitals" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Continental Hospitals</a> by 1.3 per cent through its subsidiary Gleneagles Development.
Post acquisition, Parkway holds a 52.3 per cent stake in Continental Hospitals.
In 2015, Parkway had acquired a 51 per cent stake in the healthcare firm for Rs 282 crore.
According to a statement, it will also participate in the subsequent rights issue of Continental Hospitals.
