<h3>Kinnevik marks up Quikr valuation to $1.47b</h3>
Swedish investment firm<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/kinnevik" target="_blank"> Kinnevik</a> has marked up the valuation of online classifieds firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/quickr" target="_blank">Quikr</a>  to $1.47 billion, as compared to a $1.3 billion it had assigned to the company in the previous quarter, according to a Times of India <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/companies/Quikr-valuation-1-47bn/articleshow/55072882.cms" target="_blank">report</a>.
Kinnevik has valued its 18 per cent stake in Quikr at $265 million. During its $150 million fund raise in April 2015, Quikr was valued at around $1 billion. Kinnevik which was one of the lead investors in the round had invested $100 million.
As per the report, Quikr has created an additional value of $170 million in three months. It further said Quikr had a strong third quarter for cash collections. It has been  strengthening its verticals like real estate, jobs and on-demand beauty services with acquisitions and investments.
&#8220;The company made a number of bolt-on acquisitions during the quarter that enhance its strategic positioning and product offering &#8211; these include platforms offering jobs, vehicle maintenance services and on-demand beauty services,&#8221; Kinnevik said in the report.
<h3>Naspers scouts for investments in India</h3>
After its recent acquisition of Indian fintech firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/citrus-pay" target="_blank">Citrus Pay</a>, South African internet conglomerate <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/naspers" target="_blank">Naspers</a> is scouting for more investment deals in domestic financial technology firms, according to a report in The Economic Times quoting sources.
According to the report, the company is also scouting for investment opportunities in the domestic healthcare, logistics and artificial intelligence sectors.
&#8220;We are excited by the potential for India to be one of the largest internet markets in the world, and that’s been a key driver for our investment decisions,&#8221; a spokesman for Naspers told The Economic Times. &#8220;If you look back at the last eight or nine years, from our first investment in 2007 onwards, we have consistently invested time and money in India throughout this period.&#8221;
