UK-based private equity (PE) firm <a style="color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=actis" target="_blank">Actis Advisers Pvt. Ltd</a> has divested almost all the stake from its remaining 1.8 per cent holding in <a style="color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=idfc" target="_blank">IDFC Ltd</a> through an open market transaction.
In the process, the PE firm has sold 20.8 million shares at Rs 53.15 each, aggregating to Rs 110 crore ($16.5 million) to an unnamed buyer on Wednesday.
In December, Actis had made a partial exit from both IDFC Ltd and <a style="color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=IDFC+Bank+Ltd" target="_blank">IDFC Bank Ltd</a> for Rs 120 crore.
Its remaining stake in the company is now 0.8 per cent. Actis initially invested Rs 460 crore in IDFC through a preferential allotment in 2010. Since then, it has pumped in up to Rs 510 crore in the company.
Actis has been focusing on exits from its Indian portfolio companies from the last couple of years. It also exited its investment from auto components maker Endurance Technologies Ltd in 2016 through IPO.
IDFC scrip was trading at Rs 54.90 each, up 2.14 per cent on BSE in a strong Mumbai market on Thursday at 2.31 PM.
