<article><a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.rocket-internet.com">Rocket Internet SE</a> has brought its online beauty &amp; wellness marketplace <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.vaniday.com.sg/" target="_blank">Vaniday</a> to the Asian market with Singapore as its launchpad.</article>

<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.rocket-internet.com">Rocket Internet SE</a> has brought its online beauty &amp; wellness marketplace <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.vaniday.com.sg/" target="_blank">Vaniday</a> to the Asian market with Singapore as its launchpad.
Vaniday Singapore went live with over 500 salons on the island. Its business model is to provide a fully integrated booking system to enable consumers to discover and book beauty and wellness services through a wide variety of salons. Some of its most prominent ones are Kim Robinson, Action Hair or The Comb.
Vaniday&#8217;s latest launching in Singapore is part of its expansion goals after raising $17 million in its first financing round led by the German-based internet platform Rocket. They saw Singapore as very engaged in mobile technology and with 85 per cent of users, reports the highest smartphone penetration in the world.
&#8220;As there is virtually an app for every single need and desire of the customer, we aim to fulfill the customer’s needs in the beauty and wellness market. Our goal is to create the best possible experience for our customers,&#8221; said Vaniday global founder and CEO Maxime Legardez.

Vaniday&#8217;s other main feature is that it helps customers to easily find the closest salons in their area.
The beauty marketplace provides detailed salon descriptions and images as well as insights to the services offered. Reviews allow for transparent and unbiased feedback from previous clients, facilitating the decision process even further.
Vaniday co-founder and managing director in Singapore Robinson Blanckaert said all of the portal&#8217;s features has been requested by salons for a very long time and the startup team are glad to bring everything together at no cost for the salon.

&#8220;Through our fully integrated booking system, salons can offer direct online bookings, automatic appointment reminders and also use our integrated CRM tools to keep customers engaged,&#8221; Blanckaert said.
Vaniday launched its first market in Brazil in March 2015 and since then has expanded into Italy, the UAE, Australia and Russia. The dynamic rollout plan in various markets is set to shake up the international booking platform for consumers and increase salons’ profitability, on a global scale.
Rocket&#8217;s startup incubator group for e-commerce platforms the <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.apacig.com">Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG)</a> launched Vaniday in Australia last September shortly after Rocket announced its &#8220;one new company per quarter&#8221; strategy.
APACIG was formed in 2014 as a joint venture by Rocket and Qatari telecommunications provider <a style="color: #333399;" href="http://www.ooredoo.com/" target="_blank">Ooredoo</a>.
