Israeli analytics firm ThetaRay has opened a Singapore office while Noble Group has seen its rights issue being oversubscribed.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">ThetaRay opens Singapore office</h3>
Israeli firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.thetaray.com" target="_blank">ThetaRay</a>, a provider of hyper-dimensional big data analytics solutions, has expanded to Southeast Asia with the establishment of a Singapore office, following its 2015 move into the US.
The company claims that major financial institutions (FIs) use its solutions to prevent lending fraud, ATM hacks, money laundering and cyber-attacks, as well as to uncover hidden opportunities for boosting revenue, by increasing loans or optimising mortgage assurance levels.
The opening of a Singapore office adds to the major markets ThetaRay serves with a local presence and the new facility will provide sales, support and implementation to its growing roster of Asian customers. According to the company, it is also deployed by critical infrastructure and industrial internet companies, due to its early warning and predictive analytics enabling the detection of atypical activity in mission-critical facilities.

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Noble Group rights issues sees subscription of 173.7%</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstretasia.com/tag/noble-group" target="_blank">Noble Group</a> has announced that the valid acceptances for 6.3 billion shares and excess applications for 5.1 billion shares &#8211; representing 95.7 per cent and 78 per cent of the total rights shares available for application &#8211; were received at the close of the rights issue on 21 July 2016.
According to the company, applications were received for a total of 11.4 billion rights shares out of the 6.5 billion rights shares available. This represents a subscription rate of 173.7 per cent for the rights issue.
Valid acceptances received include by the undertaking shareholders, <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://richard%20samuel elman noble group" target="_blank">Richard Samuel Elman</a>, founder of Noble Group, and <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.bloomberg.com/profiles/companies/0754562D:CH-best-investment-corp" target="_blank">Best Investment Corporation</a>, whose ultimate holding company is <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/china-investment-corporation" target="_blank">China Investment Corporation</a>. This represents 19.23 per cent of the rights shares.
