VN Dealbook: Kinh Do restructures subsidiaries, Nam Viet divests from DAP2-Vinachem

Some Vietnamese companies have undergone corporate restructuring hoping to bring about operational efficiency and fuel expansion. Commercial baker and food firm Kinh Do has gained controlling stakes in a spate of subsidiaries, following the sale of its confectionery business to food and beverage conglomerate Mondelez. Meanwhile, Nam Viet Corp said it will no longer invest in the chemical or mineral segment, to concentrate its resources in seafood processing.
