Lazard Asset Management has named Shen Tan as Managing Director in Hong Kong while London-based asset manager Janus Henderson has appointed Scott Steele as Head of Distribution in Asia.
<h3>Shen Tan appointed as Lazard MD in Hong Kong</h3>
Asset management and advisory firm <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/tag/Lazard/">Lazard </a>(LAM) has appointed Shen Tan as a Managing Director in Hong Kong.
He will focus on distribution throughout Asia and help to develop the firm&#8217;s asset management business in the region, according to an announcement by the company.
Tan, who has over 18 years experience working as a partner and advisor to investment clients in the region, was former Managing Director at Capital Group, responsible for its Asia (ex-Japan) institutional business. Previously, he was a Partner and Global Head of Sales for Income Partners Asset Management.
<h3>Janus Henderson names Scott Steele as Head of Distribution in Asia</h3>
London-based asset manager <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/tag/Janus/">Janus Henderson </a>has named Scott Steele as Head of Distribution in Asia, based in Singapore, according to Asia Asset Management.
Steele, who has 29 years of experience in asset management, was executive vice president, Head of Hong Kong and Singapore global wealth management at Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO).
Steele will replace Alexander Henderson, who is returning to London. The appointment was effective June 18.
Janus Henderson has approximately $372 billion in assets under management (as of 31 March 2018). The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
