Thailand’s fine china manufacturer <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.homepottery.com/">Home Pottery Plc (HPT)</a> is planning to raise funds in the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) for its business expansion.
The company has appointed Asset Pro Management to be its financial advisory for its initial public offering.
Niran Chaikittisopon, chief executive of HPT, said that the proceeds from IPO will be used to boost its competitiveness, develop new products and penetrate new markets.
“We have exported our products to North America, Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand. After the IPO, we would like to develop our products and launch new ones to meet clients’ requirement as well as expand our customer base in South America and Asia,” he said.
Earlier the company manufactured, according to client orders. Since the mid of 2013, it has started to create its own brands to add value to its products . It now has some well-known brands such as Heart@Home, One, Hotel &amp; Heart and PE’TYE.
“We try to position ourselves as high-end products and mainly focus on luxury hotels in oversea market because this group has high growth and gives better profit margin than other client groups,” he said.
Sompop Sakpanpanom, chief executive officer of Asset Pro Management, said that HPT has shown good performance for years.
“HPT has focused on the niche market and has strong brand overseas. It is a good opportunity that the company with high potential to grow in the global market will list on Thai bourse,” he said.
In 2012-14, HPT generated the revenue of 118.42 million baht, 134.45 million baht and 131.04 million baht, respectively. However, it did not disclose more detail about its IPO.
