Weaver Services has acquired a 75.01% stake in Centrum Housing Finance (CHFL) from Centrum Capital, it announced on Thursday (March 19). In another development, NDR InvIT Trust has bought a warehousing asset in Pune.

Weaver Services acquires Centrum Housing Finance

Weaver Services has acquired a 75.01% controlling stake in Centrum Housing Finance (CHFL) from Centrum Capital, which has exited its holding following the transaction.

The acquisition is part of Weaver Services’ strategy to build a scalable housing finance platform focused on underserved and self-employed customer segments, leveraging CHFL’s network to deepen its presence across tier II and tier III markets.

The combined platform is expected to have assets under management of over Rs 2,000 crore ($214 million) and a network of around 140 branches.

“There are roughly 100 million households in India that need a home and can afford one, yet many remain outside the reach of traditional mortgage providers. Weaver Services was built to address this gap. With CHFL joining People Home, we now have the foundation we envisioned, the branch network, the capital, and the team, and our focus now is on execution and expanding access to housing finance at scale,” said Satrajit Bhattacharya, promoter and executive vice-chairman, Weaver Services.

The transaction follows Weaver’s Rs 1,450 crore ($150 million) capital raise led by Premji Invest and Lightspeed, with participation from Gaja Capital and other investors, structured in two tranches to support its acquisition-led growth strategy.

NDR InvIT Trust buys Pune warehousing asset

NSE-listed NDR InvIT Trust, a warehousing and industrial parks InvIT, has acquired a warehousing asset in the western Indian city of Pune for a total consideration of approximately Rs 203 crore ($21.8 million).

The fully-operational asset spans 0.7 million sq. ft. of leasable area and is located in the Chakan-Talegaon industrial belt—one of Pune’s most prominent warehousing and manufacturing clusters.

The facility is currently 100% occupied (including committed occupancy), with long-term leases delivering a weighted average lease expiry (WALE) of approximately 8.7 years. The asset is leased to a diversified mix of tenants across e-commerce, third-party logistics (3PL), and industrial sectors, ensuring stable and predictable cash flows.

With this acquisition, NDR InvIT’s total operating area will increase to approximately 22.17 million sq. ft., further strengthening its pan-India logistics footprint.
