QNu Labs, a deep-tech cybersecurity company focused on quantum-safe security solutions, has raised nearly $21 million (Rs 200 crore) in a Series A1 funding round led by the National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest, according to an announcement on Wednesday (Sept. 9).
Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital and Artha Ventures also participated in the round, along with other investors, the company said in a statement.
The latest round takes the company’s total capital raised to Rs 375 crore.
The fresh capital will be used by QNu Labs to expand R&D, strengthen sales and go-to-market capabilities across India and global markets, and support its contribution to the approved RDI-funded project for developing the technology backbone of India’s Quantum Secure and Sensing Networks (IQSN).
QNu Labs also plans to expand its quantum-safe technology stack into quantum sensing and AI, while increasing deployments across critical sectors and building capabilities to address rising demand for quantum-safe migration, the statement added.
“Approximately 80% of this round came from new investors globally, which is a strong signal that global conviction in quantum-safe security is building, and QNu is at the centre of it,” said Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, QNu Labs.
Founded by Gupta and Srinivasa Rao Aluri and incubated at IIT Madras in 2016, QNu Labs develops quantum-safe cybersecurity products and solutions for critical infrastructure. Its solutions are already deployed by numerous clients globally, according to the statement.
