Christopher Laskowski, head of Asia investment banking at U.S. investment bank Jefferies, will move to vice chairman of Asia investment banking, he said in a LinkedIn post on Friday.
Laskowski said he would remain based in Hong Kong and stay active across the region, focusing on strategic relationships, franchise development and the next phase of growth for the business.
Rehan Anwer and David Biller will lead Asia investment banking as co-heads, Laskowski said. Anwer has served as co-head of Asia investment banking for the past three years.
Laskowski said Jefferies had rebuilt its Asia investment banking business over the past five years from 26 bankers into one of the region’s leading franchises, with expanded capabilities across advisory, capital markets, private capital and equity-linked solutions.
Jefferies said it has no comment.
