Aviral Bhatnagar of AJ VC backs MoroMaa

Mumbai-based beauty, lifestyle and body care startup MoroMaa has raised Rs 1.5 crore funding from Aviral Bhatnagar of AJ VC in exchange for a 9% stake in the company.

Founded by Soundous Moufakir, MoroMaa was launched in June 2026 with a focus on bringing Moroccan beauty products and rituals to Indian consumers. The company describes its offering as “M Beauty”, with products made using ingredients sourced directly from Morocco.

The investment comes within three months of the brand’s launch. According to the company, two of its products sold out within the first two months of operations.

MoroMaa will use the fresh capital to develop and expand its product range, strengthen its distribution network and increase its presence across India. The company also plans to invest in building awareness around Moroccan beauty practices among Indian consumers.

Info Edge leads funding in Factrika

On-demand industrial workforce platform Factrika has raised Rs 8.9 crore in a seed funding round led by Info Edge.

The startup will use the funding proceeds to strengthen its team, upgrade its technology and expand into additional industrial clusters across India, it said in a statement.

Founded in 2024 by Kshitij Puri and Gaurav Asthana, Factrika connects manufacturers with verified factory workers based on skills and shift availability. The platform handles worker onboarding, attendance and payments while maintaining digital records of work history.

Factrika claims to have more than 10,000 registered workers across 20-plus skill categories on its platform.

Jar raises funding from Unitary Fund

Bengaluru-based digital gold savings platform Jar has raised Rs 29 crore from existing investor Unitary Fund, Entrackr reported.

The startup, which has been struggling to raise funds despite discussions with several investors, has secured the latest funding at 23% higher valuation than its previous funding round, according to the report.

Jar’s board approved the issue of 170,589 Series B2 compulsorily convertible preference shares at Rs 1,700 apiece, according to regulatory filings. Unitary Fund subscribed to the entire issue.

The company intends to use the proceeds for working capital needs and general corporate purposes.
