Indonesia’s digital financial platform DANA has secured investment from 01Fintech, a growth-stage private equity (PE) firm focusing on fintech in Southeast Asia, according to an announcement.

The investment amount was not disclosed. The funding will support the growth and expansion of DANA’s financial services offering.

DANA, operated by PT DANA Digital Group, provides digital payments, QRIS services, money transfers, and other financial services to consumers, merchants, and financial institutions.

Founded in 2018, the company serves users and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across Indonesia, including in smaller cities and regions, per the announcement.

The two companies said they will explore opportunities to connect DANA’s MSMEs with lending and working capital solutions, as well as expand access to products such as micro-insurance, digital savings, and wealth-building tools.

They will also explore cross-border payment opportunities for Indonesian merchants and consumers by leveraging 01F’s regional network.

“Beyond capital, 01Fintech brings specialised fintech expertise, strategic regional connectivity, and a shared commitment to sustainable growth,” DANA CEO and co-founder Vince Iswara said.

Kenny Man, founder and managing partner of 01F Group, said the investment was based on DANA’s operational discipline, its role in supporting local MSMEs, and the resilience of its management team.

01Fintech focuses on growth-stage fintech companies in Asia, with an emphasis on digital financial inclusion, according to 01F.

The firm’s portfolio includes global payment innovator Thunes and Singapore-headquartered fintech firm Validus Group.
