Fintech group Fingular has announced that it has secured a $20 million credit facility from investment group Silverstreak as it seeks to further expand in Malaysia.

The entire facility will be deployed in Malaysia, where Fingular plans to expand its consumer and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) lending business, per the announcement.

The latest facility lifts the group’s total funding for its Malaysian lending business to more than $50 million.

“Malaysia remains our priority market, where we see the strongest opportunities for growth and long-term shareholder value creation,” said Konstantin Barabanov, general manager of Fingular.

Fingular offers conventional and Shariah-compliant financing, including consumer loans and micro-SME financing with tenures of up to 14 months.

Its AhaPay platform provides buy now, pay later (BNPL) services to more than 2,000 merchants, including merchant financing and QR-linked payment solutions.

The group’s Malaysian financial platform has more than 2.6 million registered users.

Fingular, founded in October 2021 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, said its group had been profitable every quarter since the fourth quarter of 2025. It is backed by institutional lenders from Japan, the European Union, and Singapore.

The group said it has also increased its paid-up capital fivefold to $37 million since the start of 2026, while its capital adequacy ratio has exceeded 25%.

The facility provider, Silverstreak, is a Singapore-based investment group focused on private credit. It provides long-term capital to non-bank financial institutions across emerging Asia.

“This investment reinforces our strategy of backing lending fintech platforms that leverage cutting-edge technology to advance financial inclusion across Emerging Asia with long-term capital,” said Rajarajan Mohan, Chief Investment Officer of Silverstreak.

The facility will be monitored through Silverstreak Analytics’ proprietary platform, SilverstreakIQ, which tracks credit and portfolio performance.
