People Digest: Colliers names China, HK chiefs; Tata Capital gets partner; Fireside co-founder quits

Colliers, Tata Capital and Fireside Ventures have announced executive-level moves.

Colliers appoints CEO for Greater China market

Colliers has appointed Tammy Tang as chief executive officer for Mainland China and Hong Kong, while naming CK Lau chairman for the two markets.

Both appointments will take effect on January 1, 2027, Colliers said in a statement.

Tang has led Colliers’ Mainland China business for nearly a decade, overseeing its growth and market presence. In her expanded role, she will provide strategic leadership across Mainland China and Hong Kong, connecting clients with opportunities in regional and international markets.

The appointments bring together the firm’s operations in the two markets as clients increasingly seek advice and services across borders.

Lau, who previously led Colliers’ Hong Kong business, will transition to the chairman role, where he will continue supporting the company’s growth and client relationships across the region.

Kenny said the leadership changes would position Colliers for its next phase of growth in Asia Pacific while creating value for clients and employees.

Tata Capital Growth Fund III appoints partner

Tata Capital Growth Fund has appointed Aviral Jain as a partner in its third fund, Tata Capital Growth Fund III, per an announcement.

Jain has nearly two decades of experience in investing and managing institutional portfolios across private and public markets.

In his new role, he will lead investments across sectors, from sourcing and execution to exits.

“Aviral joins us at an exciting time, augmenting a proven, stable, and highly functioning team that is perfectly aligned with our core philosophy at TCGF III,” said Pramod Ahuja, Co-Head & Partner, TCGF. “As the investment landscape is rapidly changing, coupled with macro trends, bigger and better opportunities within sectors are paving the way for potential deployment of capital.”

TCGF has scaled up its third fund and is close to reaching its target, the firm said. It did not disclose the amount raised.

Fireside Ventures co-founder Vinay Singh steps down

Fireside Ventures co-founder and partner Vinay Singh is set to leave the firm after nearly a decade. Singh was part of the team that built the consumer-focused venture capital firm.

“Co-building Fireside gave me the opportunity to shape the firm from its early days… As AI reshapes commerce faster than most of us expected, I want to spend more time exploring the frontiers of agentic commerce and its implications for the future of consumption,” said Singh in a press statement.

Founded in 2017, Fireside Ventures manages four funds with total assets under management of Rs 5,300 crore ($650 million). The firm is led by founder and managing partner Kanwaljit Singh, co-founders and partners Kannan Sitaram and Dipanjan Basu, and partner Adarsh Menon.

Singh’s departure marks yet another senior exit from venture capital firms over the past few years.
