Private capital funding for climate tech companies in Southeast Asia has seen significant growth in the past five years, with the total haul surpassing the $1 billion mark in a year for the first time in 2022.
According to our latest report, climate tech startups in the region secured $1.1 billion in a mix of equity and debt financing in the first 11 months of this year. In contrast, such ventures raised a total of $607 million in the whole of 2021 and $54 million in 2018.
