Crompton Greaves sells overseas power assets to U.S. PE firm for $126m

Electrical products maker Crompton Greaves, part of Gautam Thapar-promoted Avantha Group, which has been in the process of selling its international assets, has agreed to sell its transmission & distribution (T&D) business outside India to U.S.-based private equity firm First Reserve International, for an enterprise value of 115 million euros  (around $126 million).
