In a move to support the local startup ecosystem, Malaysia’s Hong Leong Bank Bhd has partnered with Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN) and the bank will start a startup mentorship programme ‘HLB Launchpad’ by end of year where it will provide a grant of $5,984 (MYR25,000) each to selected startups.
“We are looking at providing grants to at least five startups in the digital and fintech domain next year,” said Hong Leong Bank Group MD and CEO Domenic Fuda today at an event to announce the partnership.
