<h3 style="text-align: justify;">FundedHere raises S$2m for Metech crowdfunded bonds</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000080;"><a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/fundedhere" target="_blank"><strong>FundedHere</strong></a></span> has raised S$2 million for <span style="color: #000080;"><a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/metech" target="_blank"><strong>Metech International Ltd (Metech)</strong></a></span> through its crowdfunded bonds issuance programme (i.e. ListCo Bonds), less than two weeks after it announced that the electronic waste management firm was the first Singapore-listed company to issue such bonds.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Following an <span style="color: #000080;"><a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/59437-59437/" target="_blank"><strong>announcement on 29 November 2016</strong></a></span> about the fundraising exercise, its bond offerings was fully taken up by 23 AIs within 20 days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“The successful fundraising by Metech over such a short span of time underscores the relevance and attraction of our platform. We have received queries from other Singapore- listed companies and expect to issue more ListCo Bonds in the coming months,” said FundedHere CEO Michael Tee.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">FundedHere first announced on 17 July 2016 that it would offer its platform to listed companies to raise up to S$5 million by issuing bonds with a tenure of one to two years at an annual coupon of 8 per cent or 9 per cent payable every quarter. Any <span style="color: #000080;"><a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/sgx" target="_blank"><strong>Singapore Exchange (SGX)</strong></a></span>-listed corporation seeking to issue such bonds through FundedHere need not issue a prospectus.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Only AIs (accredited investors) registered with FundedHere can subscribe for the ListCo Bonds. FundedHere has registered close to a thousand such investors, defined as individuals with at least S$2.0 million (US$1.5 million) in net personal assets, excluding the primary residence, or S$300,000 in annual income.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">While the platform is currently open for equity crowdfunding from as low as S$5,000 per investor, FundedHere is targeting minimum subscription of S$50,000 each for ListCo Bonds.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Lufthansa-SIA JV receives regulatory approval</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Singapores&#8217; Competition Commission has cleared the proposed joint venture (JV) between <span style="color: #000080;"><a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/SIA" target="_blank"><strong>Singapore Airlines</strong></a></span> and Deutsche Lufthansa.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The JV will see the two airlines cooperate on pricing, inventory management and the sales of tickets on Europe to Southeast Asian routes. As part of the JV, the two airlines have agreed to maintain and subsequently increase seat capacity on German routes from Singapore. In addition, they plan to carry a minimum number of local passengers.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the commission, following the consideration of feedback from third-parties,  the commitment by involved parties is reportedly sufficient to mitigate identified competition concerns, as well as provide assurance benefits of the proposed JV for the city-state will materialise.</p>
