Japan: KKR completes $1.3b acquisition of Hitachi Koki, $4.5b takeover of Calsonic Kansei

Global investment firm KKR has acquired a stake in $1.3 billion acquisition of Japanese power tool and life science equipment manufacturer Hitachi Koki Co., Ltd. via a tender offer by HK Holdings Co., Ltd, which is wholly-owned by KKR, as well as the $4.5 billion takeover of automotive components Calsonic Kansei Corporation through its vehicle, CK Holdings Co., Ltd.
