Accel leads $21m funding in Scripbox and 15 India deal updates

Online wealth management platform Scripbox has raised $21 million in a mix of debt and equity funding round led by Accel Partners, per a company announcement on Wednesday.

The investment round saw also saw the participation of Transpose Platform, DMI Alternative Investment Fund – The Sparkle Fund, InnoVen Capital, Trifecta Capital, KPB Family Trust, LetsVenture, Kube VC, and YY Capital LLC.

Angel investors, including Alok Ohrie, Balakrishna Adiga, Deep Kalra, Faiz Mayalakkara, Girish Mathrubootham, HS Nagaraja, Mukesh Singh (ZopSmart), and Shanmugam Krishnasamy, too, joined the round.

Scripbox will use the funding proceeds to launch new products, acquire new customers, and for brand building initiatives. The funds will also be used to partner with independent financial advisors, the startup said in a statement.

Founded in 2012, Scripbox uses proprietary algorithms to deliver a holistic view of investments, as well as personalised recommendations for better outcomes.
