Asia-focused private equity manager ADV Partners has appointed buy-side veteran Rahul Bhargava as Managing Director based in Singapore, to lead the firm&#8217;s Southeast Asia coverage.
“We are excited about Rahul joining the ADV franchise. The breadth and depth of investment experience he brings to our platform will significantly strengthen our deal origination and execution capabilities in Southeast Asia”, said Bradley Landes, CIO and founding partner of ADV in a statement.
Bhargava, whose experience spans 19 years in Asia, was formerly a Director at global PE manager KKR, responsible for credit and special situations investments in Southeast Asia.
His prior investment experience also includes private equity and structured financing for mid-market companies in Southeast Asia at Leafgreen Capital, and Henderson Global Investors, where he was one of the founding members of the Asian private equity business.
Established in early 2013, ADV has raised two funds. In late 2018 it raised $597 million for the ADV Opportunities Fund II.
In January, the firm led a $100 million Series D round of financing for Chinese education services provider Wanxue Education.
ADV has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and Mumbai.
