Healthcare-focused Quadria Capital is looking to invest in the burgeoning startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia through an entity called HealthQuad, said Amit Varma, managing partner at the private equity firm.
Speaking at a fireside chat titled The “next big what” opportunities unfolding in the life sciences space at the Asia PE-VC Summit 2021 on Sept. 28, Varma said: “So far, we have raised two funds under that [HealthQuad] to invest in the Indian startup ecosystem. HealthQuad 1 was raised in 2017 with a corpus of $25 million but we landed deploying $75 million from it along with co-investments. We have already started raising HealthQuad 2 with a target of $150 million to invest in India.”
