Financial services conglomerate AMTD International, which is dual-listed on the Singapore and US bourses, is acquiring a majority stake in AMTD Digital by buying out shareholder stakes held by the AMTD Group, its affiliates, and an affiliate of AMTD’s chairman Calvin Choi.
According to a statement on Monday, the all-share deal will see AMTD International, an arm of AMTD Group, purchase 31,732,000 Class A ordinary shares and 24,202,000 Class B ordinary shares of AMTD Digital priced at $17.75 per share. This pegs the digital solutions platform’s valuation at $1.2 billion.
