<h3>Univercells SA raised $18.8m Series B led by GHIF</h3>
Biomanufacturing project manager Univercells SA has raised $18.8 million Series B equity financing led by <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/tag/GHIF/">Global Health Investment Fund</a> (GHIF), according to an announcement.
Other investors including Seoul-based Korea Investment Partners and  two Belgium-based funds &#8211; The Innovation Fund and Inventures II &#8211; also participated in the round.
Investment proceeds will support the the development of Univercells’ biomanufacturing technology, the company said in the statement. GHIF is a $108 million social impact investment fund that provides financing to advance the development of drugs, vaccines and diagnostics.
<h3>OCBC&#8217;s Bank of Singapore gets green light to open Luxembourg unit</h3>
<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/tag/OCBC/">OCBC</a>&#8216;s private banking arm has been granted a licence to operate a wealth management subsidiary in Luxembourg, according to an announcement.
The subsidiary, established by Bank of Singapore, a private banking arm of OCBC Bank, will be able to offer services to its wealthy clients in the European Economic Area (EEA) and in Britain, the bank said.
The EEA comprises the European Union countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
It is expected to come into operations in the third quarter this year, with an official opening in the second quarter of 2019.
&#8220;Since the global financial crisis of 2008, European high-net-worth individuals and family offices have shown increasing interest in Asia, and especially in Singapore, as an alternative wealth hub,&#8221; said Bank of Singapore chief executive Bahren Shaari.
