Australian venture firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Airtree" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Airtree Ventures</a> has led a $13-million series B round in Singapore-based online consultancy platform <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Expert360" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Expert360</a>.
Expert360 founder and CEO Bridget Loudon made the announcement on Monday (July 17) saying it was time to accelerate development with fresh capital.
&#8220;This investment will help us realise the future of work at an even faster pace. We’ll release product features that allow businesses to easily tap into individuals in their personal or professional network and streamline the team building process,&#8221; Loudon said.
Founded in 2012, Expert360 helps clients in Asia Pacific shortlist and connect with the right freelancer or firm for the job in minutes.
The company provides talent across all industries from finance to FMCGs or fast-moving consumer goods.
&#8220;Our Series A fundraising took place 23 months ago. We raised $4.1 million, led by Dmitry Alimov at Frontier Ventures with the goal to build and deploy our enterprise platform. Since then, we’ve added 10,000 consultants, over 500 new clients, quadrupled the team and grown annual revenue by over 1000 per cent,&#8221; Loudon said.
Expert360&#8217;s team has grown from 13 in 2015 to over 50 today. The company also recently had a new VP of engineering Dan Draper, and VP of sales for APAC Sally Carr.
