Mentorloop has closed a seed round while fintech payments processor Credit Clear is raising a Series A round.
<h3>Mentorloop closes $549k seed round</h3>
Mentor-matching startup Mentorloop has raised an oversubscribed A$725,000 ($549912) seed round backed by <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/Blackbird-Ventures" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Blackbird Ventures</a>, <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/rampersand" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rampersand</a>, and <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/tempus-partners" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tempus Partners</a>, as well as some private investors.
Co-founded by Lucy Lloyd and Heidi Holmes, the venture raised A$300,000 in a pre-seed funding last year, bringing its aggregate equity funding to A$1.025 million.
Incepted in 2015 in Melbourne as a site to match mentors with founders, the firm has 28 clients internationally, including Startup Victoria, RACV, and Monash University, and reports a 500 per cent revenue growth in 2017.
Investment proceeds will go towards team expansion and global reach.
<h3>Credit Clear launches $7.5m Series A fundraising</h3>
Fintech payments processor Credit Clear has launched an A$10 million ($7.58 million) Series A capital raise to expand its data-driven invoicing and collections platform into the US, UK and Asia.
The capital raise comes on the back of significant interest and contacts being issued to large enterprise level businesses in the US, Singapore and UK.
Launched in July 2017, Credit Clear’s technology is processing over A$180 million in debt for corporate clients in Australia that include major financial institutions, telecommunication, utilities, government and property agents.
&#8220;Our AI technology is being used to maximize payments by understanding the behavior and attributes of our customers. The systems intelligence also extends to automatically translating communications into the user&#8217;s default language, generating some very powerful results as English isn’t everyone&#8217;s first language”, says Credit Clear’s Managing Director, Simon Scalzo.
