Foreign exchange firm <a href="https://www.axitrader.com/au" target="_blank">AxiCorp Financial Services</a> Pty Ltd (AxiTrader) Thursday <a href="https://www.axitrader.com/au/market-news-blog/axitrader-news/2016/06/rajesh-yohannan-appointed-new-ceo-of-axicorp-financial-services-pty-ltd-axitrader" target="_blank">announced</a> it had appointed <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/rajesh-yohannan-b20859?authType=NAME_SEARCH&amp;authToken=vbz2&amp;locale=en_US&amp;trk=tyah&amp;trkInfo=clickedVertical%3Amynetwork%2CclickedEntityId%3A2111496%2CauthType%3ANAME_SEARCH%2Cidx%3A1-1-1%2CtarId%3A1465523375747%2Ctas%3Arajesh%20Y" target="_blank">Rajesh Yohannan</a> as its new chief executive.
Yohannan, who had been the Managing Director and CEO of the Asia Pacific region for <a href="https://www.oanda.com/" target="_blank">OANDA</a> for the last three years, will succeed Axicorp&#8217;s founder  Goran Drapac, who will assume the position of Executive Chairman.
Drapac is relinquishing the position he has held since he founded AxiCorp seven years ago, and has overseen the growth of the business from its humble beginnings to operations in Sydney, London, Dubai and Moldova, the company&#8217;s statement added.
Commenting on the appointment, Drapac said: “I have been looking for the right CEO to replace me who will take AxiCorp (AxiTrader) through its next growth stages. I found that person in Rajesh Yohannan. Not only does he have an impeccable resume but he shares the same values and passion I have for the industry and the potential of AxiCorp (AxiTrader).”
Yohannan is credited with expanding OANDA&#8217;s business in Asia, and making it the leading forex broker in Singapore.

I truly believe that AxiCorp (AxiTrader) has the potential to become a global, digital, multi-asset, new-age brokerage firm that serves the needs of the modern day investor,” said Yohannan.
Earlier this month, OANDA had got on board Kazuaki Takabatake to head its APAC operations.
Prior to his stint in OANDA, Yohannan was the Global Mobile Banking Head at Citibank.
“Goran and his team have built a fantastic franchise and laid a strong foundation &#8211; it’s my job now to take the Company to the next level in its progress,” Yohanan added.
